Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Oncology RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active MT or compact RN license and at least 1 year of specialty experience.

Details

  • Hospital-based Med/Surg Oncology unit
  • Night shift, 12-hour shifts
  • 36 hours per week, 3 shifts per week
  • Uses Epic for charting
  • May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
  • May be required to take on-call during a regularly scheduled shift

Requirements

  • Active RN license (MT or compact) required
  • ASN required, BSN preferred
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association required, must not expire prior to start
  • ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification as appropriate for unit or service
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg Oncology required
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical duties in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, including health teaching and counseling
  • Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
  • Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed
  • Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans
  • Promote the mission, vision, and values of the health system and adhere to service behavior standards
  • Former permanent staff must be separated from the health system for at least one year before being eligible for this travel assignment
