Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist - Angiography with 1-2 years of vascular/interventional experience for a 13-week travel assignment.
Details
- Work in the Interventional Radiology department performing angiography procedures
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
- Uses Epic for charting
- Perform circulating, scrub, and monitoring tech roles per Angio lab policies and Scope of Practice
- Assist with SIRT mapping/treatments, embolizations, neph tube placements, biliary tube placements, and CT guided procedures including drains, biopsies, and ablations
- Perform Neuro-IR stroke and diagnostic procedures
Requirements
- 1-2 years of vascular or interventional experience required
- ARRT (R) certification and BCLS required
- AHA certifications must not expire prior to start date
- Active state license required if applicable
- Vascular/Interventional Radiography certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, anatomic terminology, and positioning competency
- Proficient in infection control and sterile techniques
- Experience operating imaging equipment and performing radiography
- Ability to recognize and respond to emergent patient situations
- Ability to provide life support in emergency situations
- Ability to function independently and as part of a team
- Personal radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) required for this assignment
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient identification, order verification, and exam preparation
- Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment
- Provides patient education and addresses patient/family concerns
- Maintains accurate documentation of patient information and procedures
- Sutures or removes sheath and applies pressure to obtain hemostasis at end of procedures
- Maintains work area and stocks supplies as needed
- Transports patients as needed
- Coordinates care and communicates with other providers post-procedure
- Returning Intermountain employees must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before eligibility for a travel assignment
