Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with Level II trauma and pediatric/critical care experience for a 13-week night shift assignment.

Details

• Respiratory Therapy Department in a 350-bed hospital
• Variable patient ratios with 5 RTs staffed per shift
• Uses Drager and Hamilton ventilators, including Hamilton BiPAP and V60
• Documentation performed in Meditech
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Level II trauma center experience required
• Pediatric and critical care experience required
• RRT or CRT license required if applicable
• Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, NRP, and BLS
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform ABG draws and analysis, ventilator management, NIV, and HFNC therapy
• Provide routine floor care, intubation assistance, and bronchoscopy assistance
• Support intra-hospital patient transportation
• Utilizes AIDET patient experience communication standards
• Ceil blue scrubs required as part of the dress code
• Team is described as highly engaged with a strong work ethic and collaborative culture
• Flexible schedule options available
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
