Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN ECMO Specialist with Cardiohelp experience for a night shift pediatric position requiring a NE or compact RN license.
Details
- , within a pediatric hospital setting
- Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 1:2 patient ratio
- Required to work every 3rd weekend
- Floats to NICU, PICU, and CVPICU as needed
- Manages patients on VA ECMO and VV ECMO for both cardiac and non-cardiac cases
- When not caring for ECMO patients, functions as a bedside ICU nurse for cardiac, non-cardiac, or NICU patients
- Epic charting system preferred
Requirements
- Active RN license (NE or Compact) required
- BLS and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required
- Cardiohelp experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
Additional Information
- Serves as a pump specialist for pediatric patients on ECMO for cardiac or non-cardiac reasons
- Must be able to manage both VA and VV ECMO configurations
- Provides bedside ICU care across multiple units based on patient census and unit needs
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent employees of the facility are not accepted for travel positions
- Must reside outside a 100-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for the travel position
