Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN ECMO Specialist with Cardiohelp experience for a night shift pediatric position requiring a NE or compact RN license.

Details

  • , within a pediatric hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • 1:2 patient ratio
  • Required to work every 3rd weekend
  • Floats to NICU, PICU, and CVPICU as needed
  • Manages patients on VA ECMO and VV ECMO for both cardiac and non-cardiac cases
  • When not caring for ECMO patients, functions as a bedside ICU nurse for cardiac, non-cardiac, or NICU patients
  • Epic charting system preferred

Requirements

  • Active RN license (NE or Compact) required
  • BLS and PALS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required
  • Cardiohelp experience required
  • Teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
  • Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Serves as a pump specialist for pediatric patients on ECMO for cardiac or non-cardiac reasons
  • Must be able to manage both VA and VV ECMO configurations
  • Provides bedside ICU care across multiple units based on patient census and unit needs
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Former permanent employees of the facility are not accepted for travel positions
  • Must reside outside a 100-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for the travel position
