Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift Ultrasound Technologist with 2+ years of experience and pediatric ultrasound skills for a Level III Trauma teaching hospital.

Details

  • 13-week assignment in a short-term acute care, Level III Trauma teaching hospital with 733 staffed beds
  • Night shift, 4x10 hours, Monday-Thursday, 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Weekend coverage as needed
  • Patient population includes adult, emergency department, ICU, NICU, pediatric, and PICU cases
  • Performs portable ultrasound studies
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • Does not float to sister facilities but may float within the hospital or sister campus depending on booking

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound technologist experience required
  • Pediatric ultrasound experience required
  • ARDMS certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • State or compact license required, license required if applicable
  • Pending state license not accepted
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
  • Travel experience required
  • SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Local candidates not accepted within 50 miles of the main campus
  • Maximum RTO of 6 days
  • Navy or khaki scrub color required
  • All callouts for scheduled shifts require makeup shifts as deemed necessary by the department
  • Returning staff must have been gone at least 1 year to return as a traveler
