Description

American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring 18 months of recent PCU/stepdown experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

  • Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting within a hospital
  • Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Every other holiday coverage required

Requirements

  • Active OH RN license or compact license in hand
  • Minimum of 18 months of recent permanent PCU/stepdown experience
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required and must be active, not pending
  • NIHSS certification preferred
  • One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the PCU specialty from an assignment worked in the past 12 months is required
  • COVID-19 vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
  • Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only

Additional Information

  • ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment will be completed during orientation, with an acceptable score required on both
  • Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
  • Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
  • Any background check hits are reviewed by the facility, but open cases will not be accepted
  • No license hits will be accepted by the facility
  • RTO requests must be discussed during the interview process
