Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 23-bed post interventional telemetry unit on night shift, requiring a KY or compact RN license.
Details
- Hospital-based 23-bed post interventional telemetry unit
- Patient population includes post-catheterization, femoral sheath, and Tikosyn administration patients
- Also cares for medical and post-procedural patients, complex GI oncology surgical post-op patients, and inpatients requiring chemotherapy and telemetry
- 3rd shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7p-7a)
- 36 hours per week
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required within 12 months of hire
- Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required
- ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
- No prior experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
- 5 years of Med/Surg or PCU experience preferred, especially in high acuity, diverse patient populations
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination across all phases of the nursing process
- Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching and coordination with Case Management
- Deliver patient and family-centered education tailored to culture, age, and comprehension level
- Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as patient satisfaction, fall prevention, and pressure ulcer initiatives
- Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary care team to support a healing environment
