Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 23-bed post interventional telemetry unit on night shift, requiring a KY or compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based 23-bed post interventional telemetry unit
• Patient population includes post-catheterization, femoral sheath, and Tikosyn administration patients
• Also cares for medical and post-procedural patients, complex GI oncology surgical post-op patients, and inpatients requiring chemotherapy and telemetry
• 3rd shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7p-7a)
• 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required within 12 months of hire
• Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
• 5 years of Med/Surg or PCU experience preferred, especially in high acuity, diverse patient populations

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination across all phases of the nursing process
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching and coordination with Case Management
• Deliver patient and family-centered education tailored to culture, age, and comprehension level
• Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as patient satisfaction, fall prevention, and pressure ulcer initiatives
• Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary care team to support a healing environment
