Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a rotating day/night contract requiring at least one year of specialty experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit at a hospital main campus
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Rotating day/night shifts, 3x12 hours (7:00pm-7:30am or 7:00am-7:30pm)
• Shifts may be adjusted to meet hospital operational needs
• Required to work at least every other holiday

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact license in hand required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of combined permanent experience in the specialty required
• One professional reference required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty (co-worker references not accepted)
• Must complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation with an acceptable score
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Additional Information

• Provide medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care to patients
• Complete required orientation modules prior to start, averaging 6-15 hours depending on specialty
• Nurses who remain on continuous contract for at least 1 year or return in a subsequent calendar year must complete annual Hands-On Competency training
• Accepts local candidates at the same bill rate
• Open background check cases will not be accepted; no license hits accepted
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year from their previous end date
• Assignments may not exceed 18 consecutive months, followed by a required 6-month break before returning
• First-time travelers are not being considered for this role
