Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring documented PCU cardiac experience and BLS/ACLS certifications.

Details

• 28-bed PCU/IMCU unit with a cardiac patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:3-4
• Cares for STEMI, NSTEMI, CTS, and C/P cases
• Administers cardiac drips including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Pressors
• May also be assigned to telemetry beds within the same unit at lower acuity levels
• 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of documented PCU Med/Surg Telemetry experience in a similarly sized facility required
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma hospital settings required
• Proven background managing critical, fast-paced, and complex cases required

Additional Information

• Work in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex and challenging cases
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as the travel rate
• Block scheduling not typically approved for this unit
