Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab RN with required cath lab experience and a CO or compact RN license for a 13-week acute care assignment.

- Cath and IR)
- Acute care Cardiac Cath Lab unit with 2 suites/labs handling an average of 4 combined cath and IR cases per day
- Common diagnoses include STEMI, NSTEMI, and pacemaker patients, along with interventional radiology (IR) cases
- Uses Epic EMR, MacLab, and Siemens equipment
- Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts per week
- Requires some weeknight call (approximately 10 shifts per month) and weekend call (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) about every third weekend
- Holiday call required but shared among staff (1 major summer and 1 major winter holiday)
- Call response time is 30 minutes
- May float within zone 3 (LUH, OCH, SAH, SAN) in cases of extreme need
- Cardiologist is in-house during the day and on call overnight
Requirements
- Active CO or Compact RN license required (pending licenses not accepted)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Cath lab experience is required
- IR experience preferred or willingness to learn IR is a plus
- Epic EMR experience
- BSN not required for this position
- Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include circulating and monitoring cath lab and IR cases, along with pre- and post-procedure patient care and follow-up calls
- Provided scrubs (blues) for dress code
- Unit-specific orientation is conducted over a couple of days during the week following facility-wide orientation
- Clinicians must be in-state for the week of orientation, even if first-day modules are completed remotely
- Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for consideration
- Facility may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
