Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced PACU RN for a seasonal travel assignment requiring 1+ years of recent hospital PACU experience and a CO or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Main PACU (ACU) unit on the 4th floor of a hospital setting
• 11-bed unit staffed with 9 team members, including 1 charge nurse and 3 RNs on day shift
• Patient ratios of 1:2-4
• Utilizes EKG and pacemaker interrogator equipment
• Charting completed in Meditech EMR
• Day shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• No weekend requirement
• No call requirement
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required, with no certifications expiring within 30 days of start
• Minimum 1 year of current hospital PACU experience required
• Pre- and post-procedure experience preferred
• EKG and groin watch experience preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration (Canadian SSN not accepted)
• One professional reference required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from Cath Lab procedures including ablations, TAVRs, cardioversions, and TEE
• Support Interventional Radiology procedures such as AVM/VM treatments, diagnostic cerebrals, and scheduled interventions
• Assist with recovery following MRI procedures performed under anesthesia
• Best suited for candidates with a willing-to-help attitude in a fast-paced environment
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position, as local candidates are not accepted
