Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Operating Room Circulator for a day shift position requiring OR circulator and robotics experience with on-call responsibilities.

Details

• Operating Room department in a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule working 4x10s from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• On-call responsibilities of 6-8 shifts per month (1-2 per week)
• Weeknight call runs from 5:00 PM to 6:30 AM the next morning
• Weekend call is a 24-hour shift on Saturday or Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
• Rotating weekends required, every other weekend

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room Circulator experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross accepted)
• Robotics experience required
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Serve as a key member of the surgical team, working with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and ORTs to provide patient care in the Operating Room
• Ensure adequate supplies, maintain timeliness of cases, and communicate with patients' families
• Update physician preference cards and assist with scrubbing in for surgical cases as needed
• Supervise personnel delivering patient care during surgical procedures
• Follow AORN standards, State Nurse Practice Act, and hospital/department policies and procedures
• Requests for time off must be less than one week in duration
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered for this position
