Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring TNCC and ENPC certification with no call requirements.

Details

• Work in a 48-private-room ER with 27 hallway stretchers, 9 fast track beds, and 5 behavioral health beds
• Patient ratios of 1:4 in ED, 1:5 in behavioral health, and 1:3 in cardiac/trauma areas
• Shift runs 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM
• Rotating weekends required
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 rapid infusers, and Stryker stretchers
• EMR system is MEDITECH

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS
• CPI certification required for ER units
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in the emergency department specialty
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform splinting, EKGs, central monitoring, trauma assists, central line care, airway support, behavioral health de-escalation, Morgan lens procedures, rapid infuser use, and resuscitation
• Team includes charge RN plus additional mid-shift staff, PCTs, a paramedic, and an LVN
• Navy blue scrubs required for RNs
• Must follow all established facility policies and guidelines
• Best suited for multitaskers, team players, and self-starters
• Meditech experience, trauma experience, holding/inpatient experience, and CPI certification are preferred
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
