Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel position requiring 1-2 years of Medical ICU experience and ACLS/BLS certification.
Details
- Work in a 14-bed Medical ICU with minimal cardiac cases within a teaching hospital
- Patient population includes sepsis, respiratory, some cardiac and trauma cases
- Patient ratio of 1:2 with charge nurse free of patient assignments
- Occasional use of IABP equipment
- Uses Paragon EHR system
- Night shift schedule from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
- Every other weekend work required
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active RN license (WA or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA certifications required)
- 1-2 years of ICU experience required
- Medical ICU experience preferred
- TNCC certification preferred
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Deliver critical care nursing services in a fast-paced ICU environment
- Team-oriented culture with an emphasis on accountability to best practices
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel assignment
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment

This Cath Lab is only travelers at the moment and has locum doctors on rotation. Some days are very slow but there is also a couple IR doctors who does some easy procedures.
Cons
On call is currently 7 consecutive days on then you get 4 days off before going back on due to number of staff present.
