Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Operating Room position requiring a KY or compact RN license and offering an evening shift schedule with call requirements.

Details

• Hospital-based Surgical Services / Operating Room unit
• Evening shift schedule, 11a-11p, 3x12
• 36 hours per week over 3 days per week
• Requires one 8-hour call shift weekly
• Requires one 24-hour call shift every 6-8 weeks

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety devices

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room including assessment, treatment, and coordination of care
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments considering culture, age, and developmental level
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including patient and family education
• Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and documentation audits
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care team members
• Promote a positive, healing environment through professional communication and teamwork
