Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) position on night shift, requiring 2 years of stepdown experience and proficiency managing vented patients and critical drips.
Details
- Acute care setting in a Stepdown/IMCU unit that bridges PCU and ICU level care
- Patient population includes vented patients and those on critical drips
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 3:1
- Requires proficiency in medication management
- Uses MEDITECH EMR charting system
- Night shift schedule, 7p-7a
- 12-hour shifts, 48 guaranteed hours per week
- 17-week assignment length
- 16 hours of orientation required
Requirements
- Active RN license (GA or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
Additional Information
- Provide critical care-level nursing support in a stepdown unit managing high-acuity patients
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Not eligible if previously employed by the facility within the last 12 months
