Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical ICU position requiring critical care experience with vasoactive drips and a 75-mile radius restriction.
Details
- Acute care setting within a Medical ICU (MICU)
- Cares for chronically ill patients requiring ventilation and complex medication management
- Common diagnoses include hypertensive urgency, sepsis, and CVA
- May receive overflow Surgical or Cardiac ICU patients when no other bed is available
- Designated COVID-positive unit
- Uses MEDITECH EMR
- Night shift schedule (7p-7a), 12-hour shifts
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 17-week assignment length
Requirements
- Active RN license (GA or Compact) currently in hand
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- BSN not required
- Experience titrating pressors and managing IV drug therapy for critically ill patients required
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to complex, critically ill medical ICU patients
- Manage vasoactive and other high-acuity IV medication therapies
- 16 hours of orientation provided
- Cancellation policy allows for 12 hours every 2 weeks
- Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for placement
- Not eligible if previously employed by the facility within the last 12 months
