Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a Pediatric Surgery position at a Trauma Level 1 pediatric facility, requiring a TX or compact RN license and 2 years of experience.
Details
- Work in the Pediatric Surgery unit of a Trauma Level 1 pediatric facility
- Unit consists of 14 operating rooms plus 2 procedure rooms
- Uses Cerner charting system
- Night shift schedule working Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 18:30-07:00
- 13-16 week contract length
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
- Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Perform circulating nurse responsibilities including monitoring patient status and documenting care in the EHR
- Provide scrub nurse support including maintaining sterile technique, preparing instruments, and assisting surgeons
- Coordinate patient care and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support efficient surgical workflows
- Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate under facility radius rule
- COVID vaccination is not required
