Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an Acute Inpatient Rehab position requiring 1 year of experience and a New Mexico or Compact RN license.

Details

• Acute Inpatient Rehab unit setting
• Night shift, 4x12 hours (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Patient ratio of 1:8
• Floating to like units within scope as needed based on facility needs, with brief orientation provided
• Epic charting system preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact) required, pending license accepted if obtained prior to start
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, wound care, tracheostomy care, and management of orthopedic, cardiac, neurological, and respiratory patient populations

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive rehabilitative nursing care including IV therapy, wound care, and management of cardiac, orthopedic, neurological, and respiratory conditions
• Perform patient teaching, fall risk assessment, pressure ulcer prevention, and pain management
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted
