Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring prior travel experience and a LA or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Treats general adult/pediatric ED cases, including non-trauma, shock/trauma, and gunshot wound patients
• STEMI and Stroke certified facility
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Rotating weekend requirement
• No on-call or floating requirements
• EPIC charting system required

Requirements

• Active LA RN license or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Preferred certification: TNCC
• Minimum 1 year of ER nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Skills in respiratory care, IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, and emergency medication administration preferred
• Experience with chest tube management, intubation, central line care, and procedural sedation preferred
• Experience with neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury care preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include triage, isolation precautions/PPE, and management of dysrhythmias and multisystem organ dysfunction
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Candidates residing within 75 miles are considered local and paid at the local rate
• Previous permanent employees of the health system must have a 1-year separation before being eligible for travel assignments
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
