Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele Float RN for a night shift position requiring at least 1 year of experience and a PA or compact RN license.

Details

• Float position within the MS/Tele unit of a hospital setting
• Team nursing model with patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:8
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Floats within scope to meet facility needs
• No block scheduling available
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license (PA state or compact) required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS, NIHSS, and TCAR certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Experience with cardiac telemetry, respiratory care, and oxygen administration including HFNC and nasal cannula
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips (titration skills preferred)
• Proficient in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral/PICC line care and management
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care across medical-surgical and telemetry patient populations as a float clinician
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted for this travel position
• Former Guthrie Healthcare System employees must have been separated for at least one year before eligibility to return as a traveler
• RTO requests of 5 days or less are preferred
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Approximately 4 hours of non-billable orientation modules required prior to start
