Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring an active MI RN license and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals depending on volume/census
• Uses Paragon charting system
• Scrubs of any color permitted

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CPI certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response
• Skills in IV therapy, PICC line management, and peripheral line care are valued
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management and tracheostomy care is valued
• Experience with wound care, isolation precautions, and IV insulin protocols is valued
• Maximum RTO allowed is 10 days, and if RTO falls during a holiday, must be willing to work at least one of three designated holidays
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles away as local candidates are not accepted
• Previous employees must have been separated from this facility for at least 3 years before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
