Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Float position requiring a PA or compact RN license and at least one year of experience.

Details

• Float position within a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Patient ratios range from 1:4 to 1:8 using a team nursing model
• Day shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Float within scope required to meet facility needs
• No block scheduling available
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license (PA or Compact) required
• BLS certification required; ACLS, NIHSS, and TCAR certifications preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Experience with 1:4-1:8 patient ratios
• Skilled in cardiac telemetry, respiratory care, and oxygen administration including HFNC and nasal cannula
• Competency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response including Rapid Response/Code teams
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and peripheral and PICC line management
• Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips required; titration skills preferred
