Description

American Traveler is seeking a Home Health RN with skilled home care experience, OASIS training, and strong IV and wound care skills, requiring an active FL or compact RN license.

Details

• Skilled home health setting serving Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance patients
• Adult home health population with general medical diagnoses and high-risk conditions such as HF, COPD, MI, pneumonia, and stroke
• Provides cardiopulmonary assessments, basic wound care, ABI compression dressings, wound vac management, Pleurx/Aspet drain care, foley catheter care, staple/suture removal, glucometer and pro-time machine use, SQ/IM injections, venipuncture, PICC/midline care, and SQ port access/deaccess
• Delivers 6-8 skilled home visits per day
• Day shift schedule with hours varying by office needs, including 8a-5p or 9a-6p Monday through Friday and occasional Thursday-Monday or Friday-Tuesday rotations
• Alternating weekend shifts required
• Visits and hours are self-scheduled based on the needs of the HomeCare office
• Utilizes laptop, MiFi, portable printer, BayCare Forms, BayCare Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet documentation system

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or compact license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of skilled home health care experience required (private duty nursing experience alone not accepted)
• OASIS training and experience required
• Strong IV skills, phlebotomy skills, and wound care experience required
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required for home visits
• Cerner charting experience preferred

Additional Information

• Deliver skilled home health nursing care to adult patients with general medical and high-risk diagnoses
• Must be COVID vaccinated or have an exemption form on file
• Must have a flu shot or declination form; mask required at all times while at work if declined
• Solid color scrubs required
• Smoke-free facility
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Permanent employees must wait at least 1 year before returning to any facility within the health system as a traveler
