Description
American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN for a 65-bed pod-based ED requiring 2+ years of ED nursing experience and an active MA RN license.
Details
- 65-bed, pod-based Emergency Department with a separate pediatric pod and separate Acute Mental Health area
- All-age patient population with a census of approximately 230 visits per day
- Clinician to patient ratio of 1:4
- Night shift schedule (19:00-07:30) with every other weekend required
- 13-week assignment at 36 or 48 hours per week
- Floating required to ED Observation, AMU, and ED Psych units
- Day rotation (7a-7p, 11a-11p, 7p-7a) may be required on a low-frequency basis when requested; night position does not rotate
- Uses Epic (ASAP module) for charting
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required; pending or conditional licenses not accepted
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- TNCC and NRP certifications strongly preferred
- Proficient in general ED nursing skills including assessment, documentation, IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, splinting, and patient education
- Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

- Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care across a diverse patient population including pediatric and acute mental health cases
- Free on-site parking available
- Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility and will receive a reduced rate
- Holiday coverage and RTO must be disclosed prior to consideration
