Description

American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN for a 65-bed pod-based ED requiring 2+ years of ED nursing experience and an active MA RN license.

Details

• 65-bed, pod-based Emergency Department with a separate pediatric pod and separate Acute Mental Health area
• All-age patient population with a census of approximately 230 visits per day
• Clinician to patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule (19:00-07:30) with every other weekend required
• 13-week assignment at 36 or 48 hours per week
• Floating required to ED Observation, AMU, and ED Psych units
• Day rotation (7a-7p, 11a-11p, 7p-7a) may be required on a low-frequency basis when requested; night position does not rotate
• Uses Epic (ASAP module) for charting

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required; pending or conditional licenses not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• TNCC and NRP certifications strongly preferred
• Proficient in general ED nursing skills including assessment, documentation, IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, splinting, and patient education
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

• Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility and will receive a reduced rate
