Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical unit position requiring at least 1 year of experience and a TN or compact RN license.
Details
- Work on a 21-bed General Surgery unit within a hospital setting
- Care for renal medical patients (peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis) as well as general medical patients
- Patient population ranges from young adult through late adult (ages 18-60+)
- Nurse to patient ratio of 1:6
- Work alongside a variable staffing grid including RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns
- RN assumes full responsibility for patients on assigned team
- Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
- 13-week assignment length
- May float between units or facilities within a 35-mile radius based on staffing needs, census, and acuity
- Notification of float assignments will be provided prior to scheduled shift
Requirements
- Active TN or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- BLS certification required (must be AHA)
- Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care to renal and general medical/surgical patients
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary staffing team to ensure comprehensive patient coverage
- Radius rules apply and may affect pay rate eligibility for candidates residing near the facility
- COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this position
