Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical Neuro/Stroke Unit position requiring NIHSS certification and a TN or compact RN license.
Details
- Designated 30-bed Stroke Unit with some general medical/surgical patients mixed in during lower stroke volume periods
- Patient population ranges from young adult through late adult (18-60+)
- Nurse to patient ratio of 1:6
- Works alongside a care team including RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns
- Night shift schedule (18:45-07:15)
- 13-week assignment
- May float to different units or facilities within a 35-mile radius based on staffing needs, with advance notice given before the scheduled shift
Requirements
- Active TN or compact RN license required
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- NIHSS certification required
- Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test required
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Nursys license verification within 30 days prior to start required

- Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on distance from the facility
