Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical unit specializing in renal and general medical patients, requiring a TN or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Details

• ,21-bed unit serving renal medical patients (peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis) as well as general medical patients
• Patient population ranges from young adults to late adults (ages 18-60+)
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:6
• Works alongside a variable staffing team including RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns
• RN assumes full responsibility for patients on each team
• Day shift schedule from 06:45 to 19:15
• 13-week assignment
• May be required to float between units or facilities within a 35-mile radius based on staffing needs, patient census, and acuity
• Notified in advance before any scheduled float assignment

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Primary source license/certificate verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to renal and general medical patients, including those undergoing peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis
• Work within a collaborative care team structure with shared responsibilities across RN, LPN, PCT, and Nurse Intern roles
• Must reside outside the facility's local radius to qualify for standard travel rate; local candidates may be considered at a reduced rate
• Must have a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
