Description
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Sonographer for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and RCS/ARDMS certification.
Details
- Acute care setting within an Echocardiography unit featuring 3 private rooms in the main department
- Provides coverage to the ED, inpatient units, OR, and Cardiac Cath Lab
- Average daily volume of 8-12 echoes
- Cardiac patient population
- Performs TTEs, TEEs, Stress Echos (exercise and Dobutamine), Bubble Studies, and OR TEEs
- Uses Meditech EMR and ScImage PiCom PACS system
- 12-hour day shifts on FRI/SAT/SUN or SAT/SUN/MON from 7a-7p, plus overnight weekend call
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- On-call rotation during the week with no weekend call or coverage expected
- Holiday coverage possible depending on contract duration
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience required, with 2+ years as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer preferred
- ARDMS certification required
- BLS certification required
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification via CCI required
- License required if applicable
- Meditech EMR experience preferred
Additional Information
- Charge Nurse Lead Tech performs Echo studies daily alongside travelers
- Hospitalist/Intensivist coverage available in house
- IV Team available on site
- Facility-provided orientation and training before working independently, tailored to individual tech experience
- Scrub attire consists of black pants and pewter (gray) top, not provided by facility
