Description
American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Operating Room RN for a 13-week assignment requiring a TX or compact RN license and prior OR experience.
Details
- Work in the Pediatric Surgery unit of a Level 1 trauma facility with 14 ORs plus 2 endoscopy procedure rooms
- Mid-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- Perform circulating and scrub nurse duties, including sterile technique, instrument preparation, and EHR documentation
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required prior to start
- BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted)
- ACLS required within 6 months of hire
- Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience required
- 1+ year of OR RN experience preferred; pediatric OR experience a plus
- Diploma from an accredited nursing school or professional licensure required
- Nursys verification and current license/certificate verification required within 30 days prior to start
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures to ensure safety and optimal outcomes
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary surgical team to support efficient workflows and clear communication
- First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience level
- Local candidates accepted, though a radius rule may apply and could affect pay rate
- Candidates should discuss extension opportunities with their manager approximately 45 days before assignment end date
