Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring acute ER experience and TNCC, PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications.

Details

• Work in a 28-bed Emergency Department within a hospital setting
• Unit staffed with charge RN, 10 RNs, 2-3 techs, and a unit secretary per shift
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Perform typical ED procedures including IV starts, blood draws, resuscitation, and EKGs
• Night shift schedule of 7p-7a over a 13-week assignment
• Work 4 weekend shifts per month
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience required
• Required certifications: TNCC, PALS, ACLS, and BLS
• Trauma experience preferred
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care to a variety of acute patient presentations
• Ideal candidates are active and personable
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
