Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 1 year of ED experience, TX or compact RN license, and TNCC certification.

Details

• Work in a 30-bed Emergency Department with 8 hall beds
• Unit staffed with approximately 77 team members including RNs, Paramedics, LVNs, and a Charge Nurse
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Day shift and night shift 12-hour schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Uses Baxter IV pumps, GE Monitors, Ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, Belmont Rapid Infusers, and portable EKG machines
• Documents in Meditech EMR
• Performs procedures including NIH stroke assessments, IV/blood draws, moderate sedation, TNK administration, and cardiac monitoring
• Every other weekend rotation required
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• ENPC certification preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care to a diverse patient population requiring compassion, empathy, and strong teamwork skills
• Royal blue scrubs required per unit dress code
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
