Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a 13-week Long Term Care assignment in Mound City, MO, requiring 1+ year of OT experience in an LTC/SNF setting.

Details

• Long Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility setting
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday
• 8-hour shifts with flexible start times between 6 AM and 10 AM, as coordinated with the Director of Rehabilitation
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements
• 13-week contract assignment

Requirements

• Current OT license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of OT experience required
• LTC or SNF setting experience required
• Adherence to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts and code of ethics
• 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders and develop appropriate plans of care
• Utilize standardized, evidence-based assessments to guide clinical interventions
• Provide rehabilitative treatment including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities/exercises, modalities, and assistive devices
• Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and document per regulatory and clinical requirements
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers
• Communicate with supervisors and interdisciplinary team regarding patient progress and treatment plans
• Complete comprehensive discharge summaries and maintain accurate treatment records
• Obtain necessary DME or supplies as needed for patient care
• Supervise occupational therapy assistants, rehab aides, and/or students as needed
• Participate in required facility meetings, trainings, and in-services
• No more than 5 days of requested RTO permitted during the assignment
