Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Oncology Infusion outpatient clinic position requiring a NC or compact RN license and chemotherapy certification.

Details

  • Outpatient oncology infusion clinic setting within a comprehensive cancer care center
  • Clinic offers on-site chemotherapy education, social work, lab services, and an infusion suite
  • Patient ratio of 6 patients per shift, with 3 to 4 patients managed at a time
  • Day shift schedule, either 8:00am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5:00pm
  • 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
  • 26-week contract assignment
  • No weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements
  • Clinic is closed on all major holidays and weekends

Requirements

  • Active RN license in North Carolina or compact license
  • BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification required
  • Minimum one year of nursing experience required
  • Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN required; BSN or MSN preferred

Additional Information

  • Deliver competent clinical nursing care using the nursing process for oncology infusion patients
  • Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plans
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate and coordinate patient care
  • Provide patient and family education tailored to oncology population needs
  • Assess and address discharge planning needs for patients at high risk
  • Participate in unit performance improvement activities and professional growth initiatives
  • Promote a safe, clean, and secure clinical environment
  • Utilize effective communication systems to support continuity of care
