Description
American Traveler is hiring a a Home Health RN visit nurse requiring 1 year of home health/acute/long-term care experience and a valid WA driver's license for travel between patient residences.
Details
- Home Health department serving patients in Port Angeles and Sequim
- Post-acute care setting providing nursing visits to patients in their place of residence
- Functions as Visit RN, delivering care as delegated by the Case Manager RN who oversees overall care planning
- Full time schedule at 0.9 FTE, approximately 36 hours per week
- Day shift schedule with 5x8 shifts
- Weekend and holiday coverage required
- 13-week assignment length
- Uses EPIC EMR
Requirements
- Active WA State RN license or compact license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in home health, acute, or long-term care required
- Associate's degree required, BSN preferred
- Valid Washington driver's license required
- Must have reliable personal automobile and proof of insurance for work-related travel
- Driving record must comply with facility standards
- Must have a cell phone with activated voicemail
- Must have computer internet connectivity for work
Additional Information
- Provide nursing visits for patients as part of an interdisciplinary home health team
- Communicate patient progress, recommended actions, and physician orders to the Case Manager RN
- Apply full working knowledge of nursing principles and practices to make independent decisions in complex situations under general supervision
- Travel to multiple patient residences to deliver care as prescribed by physicians
