Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/OB Triage position requiring TX or compact license and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification in a high-volume, high-risk delivery service.
Details
- Work in the OB Triage unit of a Level IV Maternal Designation facility
- Unit includes 20 LDR suites, 4 C-section suites, 10 triage rooms, 51 Mother-Baby Couplet rooms, and 14 monitored Ante-partum beds
- High-risk, fast-paced delivery service performing 500+ deliveries per month
- Facility provides 24-hour in-house Attending OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage
- Includes a Perinatal Transport Program
- Academic teaching service alongside large private OB practices
- Facility expanding early 2026 to a new Women's Tower
- 13-week assignment with a schedule of 07:00-19:30
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or Compact)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP (AHA or American Academy of Pediatrics)
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery/Perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery service
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school required
- 3-5 years of Perinatal clinical experience in a high-volume delivery service preferred
- S.T.A.B.L.E Program certification preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification preferred
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity, high-volume Labor and Delivery/OB Triage setting
- Work alongside an academic teaching service and large private OB practices
- Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on facility location
- Candidates should confirm local rate eligibility prior to consideration
- Only one submission permitted per candidate across all Ascension facilities system wide
- Travelers should discuss extension opportunities with their manager approximately 45 days prior to assignment end date
