Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring TX or compact RN license and intermediate fetal monitoring certification in a high-volume, high-risk delivery service.
Details
- Work in the OB Triage unit of a Level IV Maternal Designation facility
- Facility includes 20 LDR suites, 4 C-section suites, 10 triage rooms, 51 Mother-Baby couplet rooms, and 14 monitored ante-partum beds
- High-risk, fast-paced delivery service performing 500+ deliveries per month
- 24-hour in-house Attending OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage
- Academic teaching service supporting large private OB practices
- Facility operates a Perinatal Transport Program
- Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:00
- 13-week assignment length
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or compact) required
- Current BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross
- Current ACLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from AAP
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery/Perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery service
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 3-5 years of Perinatal clinical experience in a high-volume delivery service preferred
- S.T.A.B.L.E Program certification preferred
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification preferred
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care to high-risk perinatal patients in a fast-paced delivery environment
- Facility is expanding to a new Women's Tower in early 2026
- Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on distance from facility
- Only one submission per candidate allowed system-wide for Ascension positions
