Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a full-time day-shift surgery center position requiring a CO or compact RN license and at least one year of surgical experience.
Details
- Work in a surgery center setting
- Perform circulating and scrub roles in the operating room
- Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, days
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- Active CO or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum of 1-2 years of surgical/OR experience required
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience
Additional Information
- Perform perioperative nursing care including preoperative assessment, care plan formulation, and postoperative evaluation
- Assemble equipment and supplies using sterile technique for surgical case setup
- Prepare patients for surgery including positioning, site prep, and procedure verification
- Perform and document surgical counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments
- Assist in operating room clean-up and proper disposal of used supplies and sharps
