Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position at a Level II Trauma Center requiring NV licensure and prior travel experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a Level II Trauma Center hospital setting
• Cares for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families
• Night shift schedule on a 3x12 rotation
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required to other units up to competency level
• Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and occasional call shifts
• Facility reserves right to cancel shifts with 48 hours notice for low census

Requirements

• Active NV RN license required prior to start
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
• Must pass telemetry competency exam including rhythm strip identification and measurement
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/Tele experience required
• At least one prior 13-week travel assignment within the past year required
• Epic EMR experience preferred, with training or test-out available during orientation

Additional Information

• Provide individualized nursing care throughout the entire episode of patient care
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as needed
• Involve family or caregivers in assessment, planning, and care efforts when appropriate
• May be required to pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
• Minimum of 2 major holidays coverage required
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• RTO must be submitted with initial application and will not be added to the end of the contract
• Candidates must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Returning travelers must have a 13-week break after completing a prior contract
• First-time travelers not considered due to travel experience requirement
