Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift position requiring 3 years of ER experience and a VT or compact RN license.

Details

• Rural critical access hospital Emergency Department with 9 beds currently undergoing expansion
• Sees over 15,000 patients per year in a fast-paced environment
• Night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week, 7 pm to 7 am
• Must be able to cover mid-shift hours as needed
• Uses Meditech EMR system

Requirements

• Current VT or compact multi-state RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS certification required
• TNCC certification preferred
• Minimum 3 years of ER RN experience required
• Familiarity with Meditech or ability to learn quickly required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, and consult with specialties as needed to ensure optimal care
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate medical and nursing management of patients
• Must work well under pressure and be a proactive, quick-learning team member
• Located in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom with no public transportation available in the area
• Closest airport is approximately 2 hours away
• Travelers typically start on Wednesdays
• During orientation week, 48-hour contracts are only guaranteed 36 hours due to the midweek start
• Credentialing must be uploaded no later than five business days before the start date to avoid delays
