Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring 2+ years of experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a Medical Surgical Combination unit within a 143-bed acute care hospital
• 18-bed unit with an adult patient population of all ages
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend rotation required every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Float to any med/surg area within scope
• Uses Meditech EHR system

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Skilled in IV and NG tube insertion
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide medical-surgical nursing care to an adult patient population of all ages
• Strong critical thinking and open communication skills valued
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis
