Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg/PCU Nights position requiring a WA or compact RN license and willingness to flex across departments.

Details

• Work in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital (CAH) setting
• Cover Med/Surg Adult and PCU (Progressive Care/Telemetry) units
• Night shift schedule
• Required to flex between departments as needed

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience
• Experience required in Med/Surg and PCU/Telemetry areas
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Additional Information

• Provide patient education and identify patient/family education needs using appropriate teaching methods
• Implement patient safety measures including side rails, restraints, and safe equipment use per restraint policy
• Demonstrate knowledge of safe operation and troubleshooting of PCU/Telemetry/Med-Surg equipment
• Follow infection control and isolation procedures using standard precautions
• Maintain accurate, complete documentation of patient status, interventions, and responses
• Complete and verify physician orders in a timely manner, including 24-hour order checks
• Provide complete and accurate shift-to-shift report and interdepartmental communication
• Report critical lab values to physicians per policy
• Maintain and restock emergency carts and unit supplies
• Minimal RTO available due to holiday season coverage needs
