Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility position requiring acute care experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 50-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital
• Rehab Nursing IRF unit serving patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury
• Patient ratio of 1:7
• Uses IV pumps, EKG machines, Bari beds, and med dispensing equipment
• EHR systems used include Cerner and Epic
• Day shift schedule from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Required to work every other weekend

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
• Prior rehab or med surg experience preferred

• Provide rehabilitation nursing care to patients with complex diagnoses including stroke, amputation, and post-major surgery recovery
• Facility is accredited by the Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality and CARF-accredited for its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation and Stroke Specialty Programs
• Ideal candidates demonstrate strong problem-solving, leadership, and critical thinking skills with a warm and welcoming demeanor
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time during the assignment
