Description
American Traveler is seeking an Emergency Dept RN for a high-acuity, designated Stroke/STEMI/Trauma center requiring TNCC and a TX or compact RN license.
Details
- Emergency Care unit within a designated Stroke, STEMI, Trauma, and Resuscitation center with regional advanced cardiac capabilities
- Treats adult and pediatric patients in a high-acuity environment
- 13-week full-time assignment
- Shift schedule from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM
Requirements
- Active RN license in TX or compact required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (AHA only) required
- Current TNCC certification required
- 1 year of experience in emergency nursing preferred
- BSN preferred
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive nursing care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
- Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for effectiveness and side effects
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
- Educate patients and families on care needs and available resources
- Delegate and coordinate care with other providers as needed
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel pay
- Previous CHRISTUS Health System employees must have a 6-month separation before starting a new travel assignment
- New hires participate in orientation and complete Emergency Department-specific competency validation
