Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Orthopedic Surgery position requiring a TX or compact RN license and at least 2 years of Med/Surg experience.
Details
- Work in the Orthopedic In-Patient Unit of an 18-bed hospital department
- Care for adult and pediatric orthopedic patients, including fracture cases
- Patient ratio of 5:1
- Uses traction equipment
- Documents in Meditech EHR
- Night shift schedule from 7P to 7A
- Required to work every other weekend
- Floating required
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
- Orthopedic experience preferred
- Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care within a Level 3 Trauma, Level 1 NICU facility recognized for top 5% national orthopedic outcomes
- Facility is a Joint Commission Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and an Advanced Primary Stroke Care Center
- Black scrubs required
- Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
- Not eligible if previously employed as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
