Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring 2 years of experience and telemetry background.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit with 45 beds
• Patient population includes medical surgical and cardiac acute inpatient cases
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 during days and 1:5-6 during nights
• Uses EPIC EMR
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
• 1 call shift required per 8-week block
• Float requirement within a 25-mile radius between facilities as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact/ME) required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• IMC experience preferred
• Cardiac, acute inpatient care, and medical surgical experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to medical surgical and cardiac telemetry patients in an acute inpatient setting
• Scrub color is unrestricted but hoodies and earbuds are not permitted on the unit
• Cell phone and earbud usage on the unit is prohibited
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (Maine or New Hampshire residents) are considered local and not eligible for renewals or extensions
• RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract at manager's discretion
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this at time of application
