Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS, and NIHSS certifications along with a KY or compact RN license.

Details

• 38-bed Emergency Department providing urgent and emergent care via EMS, walk-in, and hospital transfer
• Includes a specialized isolation room with negative/positive pressure for critical and infectious cases
• Second shift schedule, 12p-12a
• 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours weekly
• Weekends and holidays required

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact)
• Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with care team members

Additional Information

• Deliver direct patient care through assessments, treatments, and coordination of individualized care plans
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including patient and family education
• Delegate and oversee care tasks performed by other team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measure initiatives
