Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel ICU RN for a night shift position requiring 1-2 years of critical care experience and IN or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in a 14-bed Intensive Care Unit within a 72-bed hospital
• Critical Care and Progressive Care unit caring for vent-dependent patients
• Responsibilities include vent management, IV drips, IV sedation, and occasional after-hours recoveries
• Patient ratio of 3:1 or 2:1 depending on patient acuity, or 1:5 if floating to MS overflow/PCU
• Monthly department volume of approximately 175 patients
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Required to work every third weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required to MS Telemetry unit with a 6:1 ratio
• Uses Cerner EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or Compact)
• Current ACLS and BLS certification
• Valid driver's license required
• 1-2 years of critical care experience required
• Critical care skills required; ECMO and trauma ERRT experience not required
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing services to vent-dependent and critically ill patients
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted
• RTO requests must be less than one week
• Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
