Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a NICU position requiring 2+ years of specialty experience and NRP/STABLE certification in a newly opened service line.

Details

• Level NICU with 6 beds and a 3:1 patient ratio
• Minimum staffing of 2 NICU RNs per shift with 24/7 in-house Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, OB hospitalist, and anesthesiologist coverage
• Uses GE bedside monitors, GE Giraffe and Panda warmers, Natus Neoblue phototherapy lights, and Neomed/Medfusion feeding and medication pumps
• Documents in Meditech and CPN
• 3x12-hour shifts, 7A-7P
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• Floating as needed to the Newborn Nursery

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required; temporary licenses not accepted
• BLS, NRP (Advanced 9th Edition), and STABLE certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of hospital or specialty NICU experience required
• Central line and CPAP/ventilation experience preferred
• Stabilization experience and delivery attendance preferred
• Developmental care experience preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required for FL and MO)
• No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Assist with line placement, circumcision, and intubation procedures
• Provide family-centered care to neonatal patients
• Join a newly opened service line launching October 15th with top-of-the-line equipment
• Work alongside an experienced, collaborative team of NICU nurses
• Royal blue Medical City Healthcare scrubs required, purchased from Scrubs and Beyond
• Clean, healthy nails with no polish or artificial enhancements
• Hair must be neat, natural in color, and pulled back if shoulder length or longer
• Facial hair must be clean and neatly trimmed
• Visible body art should be covered when possible
• Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
• No perfumes or lotions permitted
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
