Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with orthopedic and emergency trauma center experience for a role in a Level II trauma teaching hospital.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting within a Magnet-designated, teaching, Level II Trauma facility
- X-Ray Tech unit supporting orthopedic and emergency trauma cases
- Work settings include adult outpatient, operating room, and mobile/surgical
- Performs C-arm procedures using GE OEC equipment
- Epic charting system preferred
- Shifts available as 5x8 or 4x9 days with start times of 0700, 0730, or 0800, totaling 72-80 hours per pay period
- Weekend rotation required every other or every third weekend depending on unit need
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology/X-Ray Technologist
- ARRT and BLS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Orthopedic and Emergency Trauma Center experience required
Additional Information
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates not accepted; must live more than 50 miles from the facility
- Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler
- Maximum of 7 days RTO per assignment, with no RTO permitted during the first 2 weeks
- All RTO requests must be disclosed and approved at the time of submission
- Required to work holidays as needed by the facility
- Must complete required lab work within 48 hours of signing the contract
- Minnesota fingerprinting (Livescan) required in person within the state, typically on the Monday prior to the scheduled start date, applicable to all travelers regardless of residency
- Free parking available in the North Lot in any unrestricted space

Pros
Management was great, not micromanaging. CNA ratio was amazing, and everyone was always helping each other out.
Cons
Lack of transporters, especially at night..there were none, but we had so many CNA’s to help, rotating schedules. Nights and days in the same week.
