Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Inpatient Rehab night shift position requiring 1 year of experience and a NM or compact RN license.

Details

• Acute inpatient rehab unit setting
• Patient ratio of 1:8
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
• Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Epic charting system preferred
• Floating to like units within scope required as needed based on facility needs, with brief orientation provided

Requirements

• Active RN license (NM or Compact) required, pending license accepted if obtained prior to start
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Experience with acute inpatient rehab work settings including IV therapy, cardiac care, orthopedics, respiratory care, neurological conditions, and wound care

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive care across cardiac, orthopedic, respiratory, neurological, and gastrointestinal patient needs
• Perform skills such as IV therapy, tracheostomy care, feeding tube management, and wound care
• Conduct fall risk and pressure ulcer assessments, pain management, and patient teaching
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Maximum of 3-4 days RTO auto-approved, with no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
